It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Family’s beloved Matriarch, CYNTHIA DAPHNE CHARMAN WILSON on Monday, December 1, 2025 in her 98th year.
Born in Britain to her loved mother Lillian and father Percy Charman. Her dear sister is Joyce Pickett. Cynthia was in the Women’s Land Army when she met Clark Wilson, and they married after World War 2 and later sailed as a warbride from Britain to Canada.
Our mother had seven children: David, Rob, Paul (Irene), Sue (Chuck), Cyndy (Tom), Sandy (Matt) and Mark (Kathy), 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Greeting her in heaven will be her first born child David, eldest daughter Sue, sons-in-law Matt and Tom, as well as many loved ones gone before her.
You may be gone from our sight but you are never gone from our hearts! We will all cherish our many memories made with you!
Mom worked hard all her life, running a childcare service for kids who were nurtured and loved, followed by 40+ years excelling in real estate. Her many life interests included therapeutic touch, palmistry, crystal healing, meditation and universal energy. Overcoming obstacles, she was resilient and determined to succeed.
Her creativity and talents were diverse, painting many pictures well into her 90’s, and designing and making jewelry with her son Mark. In Lethbridge, she was featured in a newspaper article about her many accomplishments as a senior.
She was a shining light to her entire family and many friends who felt fortunate to have her in their lives. “Our birth is not our beginning and neither will our death be our end. As birth is a continuation of our souls’ journey so too is death.” Mom, your legacy will live on and so will your Journey of Grace. Your love and wisdom will be in our hearts and minds forever. A mother’s love never dies, so we can say with confidence that your light will continue to shine down brightly upon us. Rest in peace, Dearest Mother, Sister, Nana, GG, Auntie, and Friend.
Cremation will take place in Lethbridge, Alberta. Arrangements for Cynthia’s Celebration of life to be held in London, Ontario will be announced at a later date.
