SYLVIA EILEEN WYSHYNSKI, age 86, of Stirling, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Raymond hospital on Monday, June 22, 2026. She was born on April 3, 1940, in Edmonton, Alberta, and leaves behind two families, one biological, and the other being those who were involved with ceramics.

Sylvia lived her personal life defined by passion, curiosity, and a love for animals, particularly those that were found as strays. These traits were well suited to a significant portion of her life being spent on the farm in Evansburg, Alberta.

Sylvia’s professional life was directed by her continuous contributions to the Alberta ceramic world for over 60 years. Through open houses, classes, and a variety of distribution rights for ceramic products, Sylvia became one of the greatest contributors to the Alberta ceramic industry.

She will be missed dearly by all of those who have been part of her life.

Sylvia will be laid to rest in the ST. MICHAEL’S CEMETERY – 13819 82 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 1:00 P.M.
