UPDATE: Mayor Magrath Drive North McDonald’s reopen after COVID-19 exposure

LETHBRIDGE, AB – UPDATE: McDonald’s Canada has confirmed that the restaurant was closed on Thursday, July 23 at 2:30 p.m. for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by a third party.

The restaurant reopened at 7:00 a.m. Friday morning, July 24.

On Thursday, July 23, an employee from 444 Mayor Magrath Drive North in Lethbridge reported that they tested positive for COVID-19.

McDonald’s Canada made the decision to immediately shut down the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by a certified third party.

The employee worked their last shift on July 18th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. according to Mcdonald’s.

All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee are being asked to self-quarantine until updated information is available.

McDonald’s will keep the public updated on when they plan to reopen and when it is safe to do so.
