Two community medical labs in Lethbridge to temporarily close

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services is advising the public of temporary closures at two labs in the community.

Effective Monday, September 13, both the Campbell Clinic South and Family Medical Centre locations of Alberta Precision Labs (APL) will shut their doors on an interim basis.

The reason cited is “short-term staffing shortages.”

All patients who already have appointments at these facilities have been contacted and are being re-booked at the Lethbridge Community Lab at Chinook Regional Hospital.

“This is a temporary measure and these locations will be reopened as soon as possible,” reads an advisory from AHS. An exact reopening date was not provided.

AHS is apologizing for any inconvenience the temporary closures have caused.
