LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge was hit with some fresh snow overnight.

As a result, the City of Lethbridge has declared that Phase One snow routes are active, as of 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Temporary parking restrictions are in effect in order to facilitate effective snow plowing. Officials say vehicle owners must move their vehicles if they are parked on the streets along the Phase One snow routes. A list of the impacted areas is available online.

The City of Lethbridge suggested motorists park in their driveways, rear parking pads, or along streets that are not part of a snow route. Additionally, vehicles left in Phase One parking lanes will be subject to parking tickets when they impede snow plow operations on the included routes.

The measures will remain in place until the City of Lethbridge announces that snow routes are no longer active, and parking can resume.

Phase One routes are identified with a blue snowflake tab on the upper side of snow route parking signs. Residents are advised to look for the signs and make sure they are aware of snow route statuses before using the adjacent on-street parking.

Citizens can sign up for notifications, view maps and provide feedback by visiting Get Involved Lethbridge: Snow Control or by calling Lethbridge 311.
