Hall of fame and Kinsmen Sports Person honourees announced

LETHBRIDGE – Two athletes, one team, and two builders will be inducted into the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame this year, while two curling sisters and a popular former captain of the Hurricanes have been honoured as the Kinsmen Sports Persons of the Year for 2017.

Byelection day for Coalhurst residents

COALHURST – Voters are going to the polls to fill a vacancy on Coalhurst town council.

The vacancy was created in late November 2017 by the passing of Coun. Sheldon Watson. Three people are seeking the seat: A. Elizabeth Christensen, Colin Emerson, and John Guliker.
