Jul 6, 2017 | 9:42 AM

LETHBRIDGE — His attempt to “buff out” the damage was unsuccessful. Now police need your help finding him.

Lethbridge Police have released a security video from May 11, at the downtown McDonald’s at 3 Avenue S. and Scenic Drive. The video shows a dark-coloured minivan sideswiping a parked Honda Civic.

The passenger in the minivan gets out and takes over for the driver, who appears to attempt to guide the other person, but continues to scrape the car. The first driver can later be seen rubbing the damaged car with his hand.

They eventually left without leaving a note. Damage to the Civic was estimated at $1,500.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lethbridge Police or Crime Stoppers.
