Nash scores 2 goals as surging Bruins beat Senators 5-1
BOSTON — Bruins captain Zdeno Chara didn’t hesitate when he was asked if Boston is beginning to believe it’s a top team.
“We know we have a good hockey team with good players. If we play to our way with our strength, we are effective,” Chara said after the surging Bruins beat the Ottawa Senators 5-1 on Wednesday night for their fifth straight victory.
“It’s easy to get comfortable and complacent. It’s hard to play with that confidence every game,” he added. “It’s easy to lose it. We want to stay on top of that.”
Riley Nash scored two goals, Kevan Miller got his first of the season and the Bruins won for the 14th time in 18 games. Tuukka Rask stopped 25 shots, improving to 9-0-1 in his past 10 games. Rask was selected the NHL’s first star for last week.
