Give it away, don’t throw it away, the message of Saturday event
LETHBRIDGE – The city may resemble a giant garage sale Saturday, April 21. But the only price tags will say “free.”
For the first time, Environment Lethbridge is holding a spring edition of Reuse Rendezvous, citing popular demand. Usually held in September, the event allows people to give away gently used items, rather than sending them to the landfill.
All people have to do is label the items as “free,” and place them in front of their homes. They may also register on an online map so that others know how to find what they’re giving away.
At the end of the day, remaining items should be reclaimed by their owners.
