LETHBRIDGE — Wind warnings cycled across Southern Alberta Saturday afternoon. Environment Canada warned of strong winds gusting 70 up to 100 km/h.

The warnings noted potential damage to buildings and the possibility that loose objects could be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.  That may have been the case in a couple of locations in Lethbridge.

Photos posted to Twitter captured the sight of downed light poles – one 5 Avenue north and the other in the south-side Walmart parking lot. There was no immediate indicationg of any injuries.
