Lethbridge man charged with kidnapping, death threats to remain behind bars
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 54-year-old Lethbridge man facing six charges including assault causing bodily harm, kidnapping, threats causing death, intimidation and two counts of breach of conditions, will remain behind bars by consent.
Gordon Leslie Nash appeared via CCTV from the Lethbridge Correctional Centre Tuesday, May 7 and told the court he had retained a lawyer from Connolly and Associates. He will be back in court May 9.
Lethbridge Police say on April 28, they responded to a home to check on the welfare of a woman and found her badly beaten. After an investigation, they believe that a boyfriend had gone to the home two days earlier, violating previous conditions not to have any contact with her, forced her into a vehicle, threatened her and drove her to an RV Park.
