Lethbridge man charged after recovery of two stolen generators

LETHBRIDGE — A 31-year-old Lethbridge man faces property crime charges after police recovered two stolen generators worth $80,000.

Following an investigation into the theft of two generators from construction sites – one June 5 and the other June 13 – police searched a home and detached garage along the 1200 block of 9 Avenue North.

Both generators were recovered along with a set of golf clubs that were reported stolen June 16, a dual tank air compressor and various IDs, documents, keys and garage door openers.

The total value of all the recovered stolen property is $90,000.

A man and woman inside the home were arrested.

Daniel Joseph McFadden, 31, is charged with two counts of theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach of a weapons prohibitions (for possessing ammunition).

The woman was released without charges.
