101 Mexican firefighters arrive in Alberta to combat wildfires
As significant wildfires continue to ravage northern Alberta, Mexico looks to do its part to help out.
Both firefighters and support staff have flown in from Jalisco, Mexico to help with fire fighting efforts.
According to Alberta Wildfire, two significant blazes near High Level remain out of control, being 331,946 hectares and 77,486 hectares in size respectively.
They say a lot of work still needs to be done before either of them can be classified as “under control,” adding that the support from south of Canada is greatly appreciated.
