Coaldale Pool to remain closed for rest of 2019

COALDALE, AB – UPDATE: Town of Coaldale turning to public to determine future of outdoor pool

Town council in Coaldale has voted to not re-open the swimming pool at all this year.

This follows a “critical failure” involving a crack in the filtration system that was discovered earlier this month.

It was found during a routine inspection and it was determined that an entirely-new filtration system would be needed.

Council called for a special meeting Thursday afternoon to discuss their options going forward.

They will provide an afternoon shuttle service on weekdays to another pool in the area. It is expected that this will start on Monday, July 29th.
