Trio of suspects arrested and face multiple theft and possession charges
LETHBRIDGE — Police officers are not immune to the hazards of needle debris, as was the case on Friday (Oct 11). An officer was poked by an uncapped needle while conducting a search for stolen property.
The case began when an off-duty officer saw a stolen truck in the parking lot on Walshe Drive.
LPS members located and arrested three suspects in the vehicle. As a result, a large amount of stolen property was recovered. Police discovered the group had used the stolen vehicle to commit numerous thefts across southern Alberta the previous evening.
Those arrested include 25-year old Nevada Vandermeer, who faces 26 counts of possession of drugs, stolen vehicle, stolen property; 29-year old Cayden McRae, is charged with 20 counts of possession of a stolen truck and other stolen property; and 31-year old Kenzie Anderson, who is charged with five counts of possession of stolen property
