Henderson Park irrigation replacement project begins Tuesday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The irrigation system at one of Lethbridge’s most popular parks will be completely replaced.

The City of Lethbridge says crews will spend much of the next 18 months on the eastern end of Henderson Park, working until the spring of 2021.

“Work will not occur during the summer months so annual festivals and events can still be hosted at the park,” reads a press release from the city.

During this time, certain sections of the park will be closed, but pathways will remain open.

According to the city, this work will not impact the Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens, Spitz Stadium, Henderson Pool, Henderson Golf Course, or the Henderson Ice Rink.
