LETHBRIDGE, AB – Monday, October 21st is the general voting day in the 2019 federal election.

Polling stations will be open from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm at each riding across the country.

To find your polling station, use this link through Elections Canada. This site also gives information about what kinds of accessibility will be available to you.

These are the ID requirements you will be required to have when you go to vote:

  • Option 1: Show one piece of ID
    • Drivers License
    • Any other card issued by a Canadian government (federal, provincial, or local) with your photo, name, and current address
  • Option 2: Show two pieces of ID
    • Both must have your name and at least one must have your current address
    • Some examples include a voter ID card and a bank statement or a utility bill and a student ID card
  • Option 3: If you do not have ID
    • You can declare your identity and address in writing and have someone who knows you and who is assigned to your polling station vouch for you
    • The person vouching for you must be able to prove your identity and address

If you have not already registered to vote, you can do so at your polling station when you go there to vote. In order to do this, you will need to bring one of the approved ID requirement methods outlined above.

For faster service, you can enter your information online, print a pre-filled registration certificate, and bring it with you to the polling station.
