LETHBRIDGE — Police have released no details about how they were able to recover an expensive stolen bicycle. However, the owner will be relieved.

LPS issued a statement indicating that on Saturday (Nov 9), the stolen custom-made red Colnago C60 Road Bicycle valued at $16,000 was recovered and was being returned to the rightful owner.

On October 28, police asked for the public’s help in locating the high-end bike. A homeowner in the 3100 block of Parkside Drive South reported to police that on Friday, October 25, the red and black Italian road bike had been stolen.

The bike had been stored in the resident’s garage, but the door had been left open for about five minutes when the bike was taken. Nothing else was taken.
