LETHBRIDGE, AB – A second arena from southern Alberta has entered the fray to win this year’s Kraft Hockeyville competition.

It sees members of the community show their support for their local hockey arena, both by submitting their stories about the facility and why it should win as well as by sharing it on their own social media.

The winning community will receive $250,000 to go towards arena renovations or upgrades and the chance to host a pre-season NHL game.

Three runner-ups will receive $25,000 for arena upgrades.

Logan Boulet Arena was recently renamed after the player from Lethbridge, who was one of 16 people who died in the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Logan’s father, Toby Boulet, announced that entries have been submitted to get the facility into the contest.

As of this publication, there have been 46 community rally entries in support of Logan Boulet Arena.

The Taber Ice Centre is also in the running with 125 people rallying behind it.
