Four people charged in drug and weapon seizure

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — Police have charged four Lethbridge people with drug offences following the execution of search warrants at two northside homes on Friday, Feb 21.

In January, members of the Crime Suppression Team (CST) began an investigation into drug trafficking activities which resulted in the execution of search warrants at two homes along the 1800 block of 1 Avenue North.

The warrants were executed simultaneously, with assistance from the Field Operations and Criminal Investigation Divisions.

A total of eight people were arrested without incident. During a search of the residences and the subjects, police seized narcotics, cocaine, methamphetamine, carfentanil, psilocybin and cannabis (exceeding the quantity that is legally allowed to possess). In addition, police seized brass knuckles, cash proceeds of crime, pepper spray and a conducted energy weapon.

Drug seizure on Feb. 21 — LNN

Eldon Myers, 47, of Lethbridge, faces six counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of knowingly possessing prohibited/restricted weapons, three counts of unauthorized possession of prohibited/restricted weapons and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of the proceeds of crime. Myers was remanded in custody to appear in court Feb. 27.

Ashley Dawn Quilty, 27, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Quilty was remanded to appear in court today.

Mandi Lynn Lumley, 25, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Lumley was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 27.

Harold Nelson Wright, 38, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Wright was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 27.

The four remaining subjects were released from custody without charges.
