LETHBRIDGE, AB – UPDATE (2:45 pm): Police have located the yellow Dodge Ram truck that was associated with the collision, but no arrests have been made at this time.

Original Story:

For the second time in two months, Lethbridge Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian.

At around 4:40 p.m. on Monday, June 1, LPS and EMS responded to a report of a collision between a yellow Dodge Ram truck and male pedestrian in the west alley along the 900 block of 13 Street South.

When crews arrived on scene, a female had exited the truck and was helping the victim, according to police. LPS added in a release Tuesday morning that prior to their arrival, a male in Dodge truck fled from the scene in the vehicle.

Police say that witnesses also reported that a male, who had been walking with the victim, fled on foot.

The victim, a 30-year-old male, was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

In April, a 10-year-old boy passed away after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Whoop-Up Drive and Aquitania Boulevard West.
