LETHBRIDGE, AB– The Lethbridge Pronghorn women’s rugby program is excited to add experience to the program’s coaching staff, with the addition of long time rugby coach Graeme Moffat.

Moffat is currently the Executive Director of Rugby Alberta, a position that he has held since 2017 and was previously the Director of Rugby for Rugby Alberta.

“I am thrilled that our players will get to benefit from the talents of Moffat,” said Pronghorn Head Coach Neil Langevin.

“He has a unique and impressive blend of charisma, ability to build positive relationships, technical knowledge, administrative prowess, and experience in the rugby world.”

With seven years of national team experience with Rugby Canada as an assistant coach, Moffat will help the team in countless number of ways.

From 2011 to 2018 Moffat served as an attack, backs and skills coach for the Canadian National program and was also a coach for the 2015 Rugby World Cup hosted in England and the U20 Canadian Rugby team.

“I am really excited and grateful for the opportunity to support the Pronghorns,” said Moffat. “I have the upmost respect for Neil and have seen first-hand the great job he does creating positive environments.”

The Pronghorn women’s rugby team will return to practice on September 2nd.
