LETHBRIDGE, AB – Post-secondary students in Lethbridge are getting a snow day…but that does not mean classes are cancelled.

Both Lethbridge College and the University of Lethbridge are closing their main campuses and moving all or most of their courses online for Monday, November 9.

“This is in response to the extreme winter weather in southern Alberta and reduced service by Lethbridge Transit,” reads a statement from the college.

“While this closure will impact some students who may have planned to be on campus, this decision should have minimal impact on classes considering this closure occurs during the fall reading week break,” adds the U of L.

Students are asked to contact their instructors before their classes were scheduled to start.

Elsewhere, Palliser, Horizon, Westwind, and Livingstone Range School Divisions have cancelled classes Monday due to the poor weather and road conditions.
