Holy Spirit Catholic School Division confirms new COVID cases

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — The local Catholic school Board has been informed of two new cases of COVID-19 – one at St. Teresa of Calcutta School in Lethbridge and one at St. Joseph’s in Coaldale.

Close contacts have been informed. They are required to isolate and follow Alberta Health Services (AHS) the directives provided by Alberta Health Services (AHS). Details about members of the community who may test positive for COVID-19 cannot be disclosed, however, it’s known that three grades were sent home on Monday.

As of Monday, (Dec 7), the division has eight active cases at five school sites (CCH in Lethbridge (2), St. Joseph School in Coaldale (1), St. Mary’s School in Taber (3), St. Michael’s School in Bow Island (1), and St. Teresa of Calcutta School in Lethbridge (1)), requiring the isolation of roughly 225 staff and students.
