Lethbridge vaccination site running smoothly compared to first few days

LETHBRIDGE, AB– After a very busy first day of vaccinations at Lethbridge Exhibition Park last week, things seem to be running easy now.

One woman approached LNN as we were on-site to tell us the vaccine process has been running like a well-oiled machine.

She says her experience was pleasant, quick, and easy. It took her about 20 minutes to get from her car to a nurse, and on her way out the door.

There is an estimated 30 separate stations to get vaccinated at according to her.

Even though there were very few stations open, she was still in and out quite quickly.

On the first day that those eligible could book their appointment, some said it was a very long wait time, and they had to stand out in the cold before they could enter the building, as only a few people were allowed in at a time.

The senior said many people did not book an appointment and basically tried to sneak in for an open spot. AHS is not allowing anyone in the building that does not have an appointment.
