Dylan Cozens returns to Sabres lineup, gets in first NHL fight

BUFFALO, NY– Lethbridge Hurricanes alumnus Dylan Cozens has surely been making an impact for the Buffalo Sabres.

In the Sabres’ game against the New York Rangers Tuesday night, Cozens dropped the mitts against Rangers’ Ryan Lindgren following a few jabs at each other on the previous play.

Sportsnet tweeted some of the action.

It’s hard to say whether Cozens won or lost the fight, but the Sabres feel it was a fair fight.

The 20-year-old shook the Sabres bench with the third-period fight, bringing his “old-school hockey” mentality.

Sabres officials are impressed with Cozens approach to the game, calling him “the Workhorse from Whitehorse.”

Cozens and the Sabres’ next game is against the New York Islanders on March 4.
