LETHBRIDGE, AB. — City police and Fire officials were called to a city lake on Friday after a young person fell through the ice. Fortunately, the youth was rescued from the water by several friends who tied their shirts together to use as a rope and drag the person out of the water.
The young person was treated by EMS on scene and did not suffer any major injuries.
Police request that residents stay off of all local ponds and lakes, as the ice is unsafe due to the recent warm weather.
