LETHBRIDGE, AB – A man from Lethbridge will be on trial three times in the coming months.

Earlier this week, Sean Walter Horvath plead not guilty to 21 charges including two counts of assault with a weapon, three counts of assault, uttering threats to cause death, and six counts of failure to comply with release conditions, among others.

He was arrested back in October in a matter Taber Police Service (TPS) described as a “possible assault and abduction.”

TPS reported that a caller told them that they had “observed a person with a plastic bag covering their head and upper torso, in the passenger seat, who looked distressed.”

Horvath allegedly tried to flee from police and attempted to ram the vehicle into a police cruiser.

Charges have been laid by multiple law enforcement agencies.

He is set to face three separate trials in May and June.

Horvath’s lawyer told court this week that his client is expected to plead guilty to other charges at a later date.
