SPARWOOD, BC – There were no injuries or environmental damage following a train collision in Sparwood, B.C. late last week.

The vehicle subsequently stopped moving and was stuck on the tracks at around 8:15 a.m.

The driver of the tractor left the vehicle shortly before it was hit by a train, which dragged the trailer for around 350 feet.

The collision resulted in a fire, which was quickly put out by the Elk Valley Fire Department.

There were no injuries to the crew on the CP Rail train involved in the collision.
