Light plane crash in Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Transport Canada is sending a team to Medicine Hat to investigate the crash of a light plane on Monday.

Not much is being said at the moment but CHAT News has confirmed a few details of the unexpected landing in a Medicine Hat backyard.

The aircraft took off from Schlenker Airport just south of Desert Blume.

It came to rest around 8:30 p.m. about five kilometres away in the back of a residence under construction at 119 Sunset Dr. SW overlooking Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course.

There was no pilot on board and no serious injuries were reported.

There was significant damage to the plane.
