Fire ban issued for Lethbridge river valley

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Users of the river valley in Lethbridge should be aware that they will not be allowed to have any kind of open burning.

The City of Lethbridge has issued a fire ban on all open fires in the river valley effective immediately.

It was enacted due to the hot weather conditions.

Backyard fire pits are still allowed in accordance with the city’s open burning Bylaw 5858.

The fire ban will remain in place until further notice.
