Temporary closures to continue at Bassano Health Centre’s emergency department

BASSANO, AB – The emergency department at the Bassano Health Centre will remain temporarily closed for certain days of the week.
The closure will be in place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, until further notice. Alberta Health Services (AHS) says this is due to a lack of physician coverage.
The emergency department will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and on weekends, including overnights.
AHS says it is working to make sure local residents continue to have access to the care they need during the temporary closure. EMS calls will be re-routed to Brooks and patients seeking care can access emergency services at the Brooks Health Centre.
