City of Lethbridge opens applications for Re-Imagine Downtown Activation Grant

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Applications for the Re-Imagine Downtown Activation Grant through the City of Lethbridge are now open.

The grant helps to provide organizations, entrepreneurs, businesses, and individuals the financial support to implement initiatives, events, and programs that promote downtown Lethbridge.

Funding for the 2023 grants total $120,000 and will be supplied through the Heart of our City Committee (HOCC).

Eligible applications will be allocated up to $10,000 per project.

HOCC Chair, Lorien Johansen said, “The Re-Imagine Downtown grant program has, through all its iterations, been one of the most popular and successful initiatives created under the auspices of the Heart of Our City Committee.”

Johansen continued, “Our small businesses, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, and community groups are more important now than ever before as we continue the path of growth, recovery, and revitalization. These are the things that give our city life and vibrancy, entertainment, and a sense of neighbourhood.”

Applications are being accepted until April 14, 2023, and approved applicants will be notified before April 28.
