City of Lethbridge holding Community Conversation at ENMAX Centre

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge his holding a Community Conversation on October 23, 2023 at the ENMAX Centre.

The event features more than 40 City projects. Residents are invited to give feedback and learn about the things happening in our community.

Some of the tables present at the event include possible updates to the animal bylaw, tips for keeping green carts stench-free, the playground harmonization project, and changes to snow plowing.

In addition, residents will be able to give feedback about the ENMAX Centre, as the city prepares a 20-year plan for the building.

Kaitlin Barr, Community Engagement Strategist with the City of Lethbridge said, “It makes it a lot easier for residents to participate in a lot of different community engagement opportunities. Its one night in one place, so you can get a lot of information just by showing up.”

In addition to the projects, the event will have multiple other activites for all ages. These include:

  • Free public skating with Sparky the Fire mascot
  • Prize draws including Lethbridge Hurricanes and Stars on Ice tickets
  • Free concession samples
  • Swag giveaways
  • Kids play with the Lethbridge Public Library
  • Snow plows and Fire equipment to explore
  • Meeting Kourt, the service dog for Lethbridge Police Service Victim Services department

The event takes place from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Complimentary electric vehicle charging will be available at all six ENMAX Centre charging stations, and no parking fees will be enforced.
