LETHBRIDGE, AB – A newly-acquired forward will not be reporting to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Western Hockey League (WHL) club said 2004-born forward Colton Langkow has chosen not to report due to personal reasons.

The team has placed Langkow on its suspended list. This was done to provide the club with the flexibility required to confirm a complete roster before the WHL’s January 10, 2024 roster deadline.

Langkow was acquired by the team on January 8 in a deal that sent forward Tyson Zimmer to the Vancouver Giants.

Out of respect for Langkow and his family, the Hurricanes said there will be no further comments made at this time.

Lethbridge hosts Medicine Hat at the ENMAX Centre January 12, before visiting the Tigers on January 13.
