LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB – Firefighters responded to a big blaze in Lethbridge County earlier this week.
The County noted that just before noon on January 9, 2024, a large haystack fire in the northern portion of the region broke out, prompting a response from area fire departments.

(Photo: Lethbridge County)Crews from Coaldale, Coalhurst, Nobleford and Picture Butte worked for several hours to tackle the flames. Officials said about 30 firefighters responded and received mutual aid from the Enchant Fire Department. The fire did not spread to neighbouring properties and no injuries were reported.
