Community Capital Projects Grant applications open for 2024

Jan 23, 2024 | 8:14 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Community Capital Projects Grant (CCPG) is accepting applications in Lethbridge. Non-profits are invited to apply for a boost to their capital construction project.

Funding for the CCPG is available in two streams. These include:

  • Stream A covers professional services for planning and design phases
  • Stream B funds the actual construction, renovation or retrofitting of facilities. Stream B can also be used to acquire major equipment or enhance facility technology

The City of Lethbridge noted that all grant projects must also be eligible on a matched-grant basis. This means that the organization must be able to secure additional sources of funding to finish their project. One-half of approved Stream A project costs can come from CCPG (to a maximum of $25,000 per project), while one-third of approved Stream B project costs can come from CCPG (to a maximum of $200,000 per project).

Projects that are eligible can only be submitted in one stream per grant funding period.

The application deadline for the grant program is March 31, 2024. More information is available at the City of Lethbridge website.

Recipients in 2023 included the Aboriginal Housing Society, the Lethbridge Soccer Association, and the Lethbridge Astronomy Society.
