Hurricanes sign Kai Anderson to WHL contract

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have signed 2008-born forward Kai Anderson to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Anderson was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft by the Vancouver Giants, and was acquired by the Hurricanes in a trade on January 8, 2024 that sent Tyson Zimmer to the Giants.

He has collected 20 goals and 29 points this season with the Burnaby Winter Club (BWC) U17 Prep team. Anderson sits second in goal scoring for the BWC Gold team. He also has three points in nine games with the BWC U18 Prep team.

The Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre on Wednesday, March 6 when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Lethbridge is currently riding a three-game winning streak.
