Lethbridge’s Galbraith Elementary School approved for design funding

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Galbraith Elementary School in Lethbridge has received approval for design funding in Budget 2024.

Lethbridge School Division (LSD) announced on Thursday, March 7, 2024 that they have received the funding. The school is 112 years old, and the board has designated it as its’ number one priority.

In a news release on Thursday, the representatives from LSD said, “The Board continues to advocate for new and modernized learning spaces that the Division needs to provide safe and welcoming learning environments.”

Design funding means that schematic design may be created, followed by the final design for the eventual preparation of documents.

The school board will be discussing the 2025-2027 Capital Plan at the next Regular Meeting on March 26.
