Two Hurricanes, Lethbridge local named to WHL All-Star Teams

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two Lethbridge Hurricanes have been named to Western Hockey League All Star teams for the 2023-24 season.

Harrison Meneghin

Hurricanes goaltender Harrison Meneghin was named to the WHL Central Division First All-Star team for his stellar 2023-24 campaign. He played in 53 games for Lethbridge this season, and finished with a 27-20-5 record.

Meneghin’s 2.59 goals against average (GAA) was good for sixth in the WHL, while his .919 save percentage placed him in second. The Surrey, B.C. native was named the WHL Goaltender of the week on January 2, and was named the Hurricanes’ MVP ahead of their final regular season game.

Noah Chadwick

Hurricanes defenceman Noah Chadwick was named to the WHL Central Division Second All-Star Team. The 18-year-old is coming off his best scoring season with the Hurricanes, where he put up 12 goals and 44 assists for 56 points in 66 games and was named the team’s top defenceman.

Chadwick’s 56 points tied for 10th in scoring among all WHL defencemen. The 6’4 rearguard signed his entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the season, who drafted him in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

The Hurricanes are gearing up for their first round playoff series against the Swift Current Broncos, which begins on Friday, March 29, 2024 in Swift Current.

In addition to Meneghin and Chadwick, Lethbridge native Terik Parascak was also selected to an All-Star roster. The 17-year-old rookie finished with 105 points on the season, placing him first in rookie scoring and eighth in the entire WHL.

Parascak was listed as the 14th ranked North American skater ahead of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft in July.
