Former Humboldt Bronco Tyler Smith and Toby Boulet speak at Lethbridge schools ahead of Green Shirt Day
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash survivor spoke about the importance of mental health and kindness with Lethbridge students on Thursday.
Tyler Smith visited Winston Churchill High School and G.S. Lakie Middle School for two Green Shirt Day presentations on March 28, 2024. Smith was a teammate of Lethbridge’s Logan Boulet, one of the 16 people killed as a result of the April 6, 2018 collision. Both schools were attended by Logan.
Green Shirt Day aims to honour Logan’s legacy, celebrate the lives of those lost and impacted by the crash and raise awareness on organ donation.
Following his presentation at G.S. Lakie, Smith said, “Today is a special day, being able to rock the green shirt is something that is super important to me, and just us being able to tandem awareness together.”
