Jane’s Walk Festival returns to celebrate local community

Apr 26, 2024 | 11:18 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Jane’s Walk Festival is a great way for members of the community to walk, cycle, birdwatch and more.

The annual event is back in Lethbridge on Saturday, April 27, as well as from May 3-5, 2024.

The initiative is an assortment of community-led pedestrian-focused tours, which was inspired by urbanist Jane Jacobs. The purpose of the free event is to encourage people to get out into the community and explore parts of it which they would not necessarily have done otherwise.

Jane’s Walk officials say the organization helps bring people together, as just the simple act of walking together and conversing is what makes a neighborhood.
