Artistic rendering of new Lethbridge LDS Temple unveiled

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The look for the planned Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) temple in Lethbridge has been unveiled.

Officials have released an exterior artistic rendering for the site.

The temple was first announced by church president Russell M. Nelson in April 2023. Once construction is completed, the temple will be the fourth in Alberta and 10th overall in Canada.

The Cardston temple was the first built outside of the United States. Eight other temples operate in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.

The approximately 45,000-square foot temple in Lethbridge will be constructed on more than nine acres of land at the corner of Whoop-Up Drive West and Mauretania Road West.
