The team started the campaign on the road this past weekend, with a 10-4 loss against Okotoks on Saturday, May 25.

After a slew of road games, the Bulls will host Medicine Hat in their home opener on June 5. Marketing manager/manager of game day operations Brent Radlinsky says that date holds special significance in the history of the club.

He notes that June 5 will mark 25 years to the day of the Bulls’ first-ever game.

“It’s a huge milestone. A lot of teams don’t last this long in the WCBL – what used to be the Saskatchewan Major Baseball League back in [1999], so it’s a major milestone for the team. We’re one of the longest surviving teams in the league,” says Radlinsky.

Radlinsky says this season, the team will add names to a Bulls Wall of Fame on the concourse at Spitz Stadium, celebrating players and team rosters of the past.

Radlinsky says the club will host an alumni weekend over the Canada Day weekend.

He adds one big point of focus for the organization is improving branding.

“We’ve been around for a long, long time and sometimes people forget about us. There’s not enough branding around the stadium, that’s one of the things I first noticed when I started is we need to kind of get our name out there more,” Radlinsky says.

He remarks fans at Spitz Stadium will see a new scoreboard and more video components during games, along with more signage that establishes the site as the home of the Bulls.

Radlinsky adds they have also implemented some changes to areas like concessions at the venue for an improved game day fan experience.

Over the course of their 25-year history, the Bulls have one two league championships, one in 2015 and another in 2021.
