LETHBRIDGE, AB – Residents of west Lethbridge can breathe a sigh of relief as the work on Whoop-Up Drive is almost done.

The City of Lethbridge says the final task in the bridge rehabilitation project is to fix and smooth the pavement where the bridge meets the road on the westbound lanes.

Once work commences, there will be periodic lane closures and the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr.

The rehabilitation is scheduled to take place from 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night and last for approximately four hours.

The City says the full project will be complete around two weeks ahead of schedule. However, more work is planned for next summer.
