LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) has made arrests in a significant drug trafficking and weapons investigation.

Officers searched homes in downtown Lethbridge, Raymond and Coalhurst on November 21, 2024, and claim to have seized:

  • Four firearms
  • Thousands of rounds of ammunition
  • Body armour
  • 230 grams of cocaine
  • 1,228 grams of suspected cocaine buffing agent
  • 41 unknown pills

ALERT Lethbridge Staff Sgt. Trevor Sheppard says one of the rifles is believed to have been converted to be fully automatic, and two prohibited magazines were also confiscated.

“This is an extensive arsenal of prohibited and dangerous weapons to be in the hands of people involved in drug trafficking. This is an obvious threat to community safety and we’re glad to have these suspects in custody,” says Sheppard.

ALERT began its investigation in June 2024.
