Charlton and Hill Home Services launches Aeroseal to help reduce heating bills, loss of air flow

A Lethbridge-based company has created a new solution to lower heating bills and reduce the loss of air flow.

Charlton and Hill Home Services, a premier provider of HVAC solutions, has launched its new duct sealing service Aeroseal. The company says this addresses a critical issue in residential heating and cooling systems, where up to 40% of air flow is lost due to leaks and poor connections.

A recent study by McKinsey and Company highlighted duct sealing as the most effective method for improving energy efficiency in homes, and Aeroseal was created to do that, and help residents reduce their hearing bills.

Jim Brown, Service Manager at Charlton and Hill said, “We’re excited to bring this technology to our clients. Aeroseal duct sealing is a proven technology that not only improves energy efficiency but also ensures more consistent temperatures throughout the home.”

Aeroseal’s technology repairs the ductwork from the inside, sealing holes and cracks and targeting the 25-40 percent air flow loss typically experienced in houses with forced-air heating and cooling systems.

Tyler Nystrom, Charlton & Hill’s Aeroseal technical leader says, “I’ve been installing HVAC systems for almost 30 years, and I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Charlton and Hill’s Aeroseal duct sealing service is available now in Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and surrounding communities.
