Canadian goalkeeper Rylee Foster joins Durham Women FC in English second division
DURHAM — Canadian goalkeeper Rylee Foster, previously with Liverpool and Everton, has signed with Durham Women FC in England’s second-tier FA Championship.
The 26-year-old from Cambridge, Ont., was with Everton most recently, signing a short-term contract in September through January to back up Irish international Courtney Brosnan.
Durham (6-4-1) currently stands fifth in the 11-team Championship.
‘I think being in the transfer window is full of uncertainty but I’m really happy to be in the northeast (of England),” Foster told the club website. “It’s a new environment, a new culture to get used to. The first few day I’ve really enjoyed it and I’m excited to get started with the girls.”
