Blues defenceman Colton Parayko to undergo scope on left knee
ST LOUIS — St. Louis Blues defenceman Colton Parayko will undergo a scope on his left knee and will be re-evaluated in six weeks, team president of hockey operations Doug Armstrong announced Thursday.
Parayko injured his knee in the Blues’ 3-2 shootout victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old has a career-best 15 goals and has tied a career best with 35 points in 62 games this season. He leads the team in average ice time with nearly 24 minutes.
His absence is a blow to the Blues’ playoff hopes. Their win over L.A. pulled them within one point of Vancouver and Calgary for the second and final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
