LPS seize stolen property and drugs; arrest seven

LETHBRIDGE — An investigation into the theft of bikes in west Lethbridge and a break and enter on 13 Street South, resulted in a search warrant at a home in the 300-block of 20 Street North on Friday (Jan 31) afternoon.

Officers from the Downtown Policing Unit, with the assistance of Patrol Operations and a K-9 unit descended on the home shortly after 4:00-pm.

During the search of the house, police located eight people inside, found evidence of drug use and drug trafficking, located stolen property, including bike parts and stolen identification documents.

About $9000 in stolen property recovered. Three stolen bikes were returned to their rightful owners and police continue to investigate to determine the owners of additional recovered stolen property.

A total of 17 criminal charges were laid against seven city residents.

— Jade Tiffany Little, aged 30, faces two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of stolen property under $5000, three counts of unlawful possession of identity documents and one count of possession of stolen credit card. Little was released by a Justice of the Peace with numerous conditions and is scheduled to appear in court February 6, 2020.

— Bradley Peter Smith, 53, is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5000. Smith remains in police custody, awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.

— Nicholas Blaine Heavyrunner, 25, is charged with one count of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. Heavyrunner is in police custody awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.

— Sandra Kelly Harris, 51, is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance. Harris is in police custody, awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.

— John Carl Wipf, 38, is charged with four counts of possession of stolen property under $5000. Wipf was released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in court on February 28, 2020.

— Jerimiah Timothy Holy White Man, 34, faces one count of possession of a controlled substance. Holy White Man was released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in court on March 26, 2020.

— Elishia Joel Daychief, 41, is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance. Daychief was released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in court on February 14, 2020.
